i think its DSL/CABLE iv got 1mb brodband with bt

go to google and seach for connection checker - there are plenty of free services that will check your connection and tell you the type and speed - BT have probably got one.

If it is Broadband with BT it is an ADSL service. If your computer is directly wired to your router, it is not wireless. Your telephone bill will also confirm this. It sounds as though you have a BT Option 1 service.

If there is a phone line to your modem or computer then you have DSL.

If you have cable to your computer or modem then....you have cable.

Cable in my state runs about 6meg so you probably have DSl becuase it is much slower. It maxes out at 1 meg, but most never get that close to 1 meg.
