True Friend

I never had realized
How great a friend can be,
Until you took the time
To be a friend to me.

You lifted my spirits
When all was looking bleak.
And you gave of your strength
When you saw I was weak.

When my faith was shattered
You had given me hope.
When life overwhelmed me
You had helped me to cope.

When I needed to talk
You listened with care.
Whenever I need you,
You are always there.

What a true friend you are.
I've learned so much from you.
One thing I've learned is how
To be a true friend too.

RESPECT FOR THEIR CHOICES EVEN IF YOU THINK THEIR WRONG, YOU CAN GIVE ADVICE BUT IN THE END YOU HAVE TO LEAVE THEM TO DO WHAT THEY WANT, YOU WOULD EXPECT THE SAME, SO IF YOU DON'T LIKE SOMETHING DON'T DISH IT OUT TO YOUR FRIENDS, DO UNTO OTHERS AS THEY DO UNTO YOU!!!! AND IF YOU TALKN BOUT A PARTNER TYPE MATE RESPECT, HONESTY AND INTEGRITY ARE IMPORTANT TRAITS, SHOULD ALSO BE COMMUNICATIVE AND OPEN!!!!
