whats up with that? they are like in the middle of the new season and they showed an "old" episode. WHY?

They were probably getting ready for November sweeps. I'm in the TV industry and that's when networks rate how many viewers watch certain shows and try to claim they're number one. They do this by saving new episodes and dramatic plot twists for these periods (November and May are the biggest) so their ratings are higher.

It also depends on how long production of each episode takes. Some shows (especially one-hour shows like Gilmore Girls) take longer to put together. So in the same week, we might get a rerun of this, but another show (like a 30 min.) is new.

But at least now we can look forward to at least 4 new episodes in November! :)

I am a Gilmore Girls freak. I don't keep track with the story because usually I head out to the shopping mall. It was a good story and I wish I could buy the dvd of all season.
