Well,
The Question is very vague.

I believe we donot require any card for this,if you have connected the two monitors to a Laptop or a PC.

* Try pressing the buttons , and simultaneously.
* Try doing this at least 3 to 4 times.
* This helps to toggle between the two screens.

hope this works.

I wouldn't say any card here because that is for advanced setup procedure; but now there are many dual-head video cards on the market almost every new one is. Since the first Matrox G400 Dual-Head long time ago, but the final say is the Windows system itself; 95 probably can't do it, but 98/Me/2000/XP can handle dual display without problem. What you do is follow a dual display card's instruction and install the driver; after that you see [1][2] on the last tab of Display Property. That is a pictorial representation of two monitors, one is grayed out, select it and enable.

I know for sure Macs have that multidisplay ability decades ago but I'm not sure how it can be enabled.

If you want to go the cheap route just install a second video card, windows xp will support the multiple monitors just install the card and go under display and you can set it up the dual screens there.

if you do not need high end graphics, you can add a pci video card to you computer (you can add more than one, and have as many monitors as pci slots in your computer). Computers usually have 1 agp (for fast 3d graphics) and up to about 5 pci slots. You can have one good agp card (for games and videos) and one pci card for low end graphics such as browsing the web.
