my o3 citroen c3 while drivng you lose power the fuel light comes on on the dash it will accelerate above 18mph there is no power at all i switch off for a couple of minutes re start and its fine but then happens again peraodiclly i have had the car since new and it has just started to happen (diesel c3 desire)

Change your fuel filter. You'll be amazed at the diference it will make. And change you air filter while your at it.

It sounds like it could be fuel starvation, but it could also be an ignition system fault. Take it to a Citroen dealer and get them to do a diagnostic check there is no point in messing around if you are not a competent mechanic; the dealer should spot the problem in minutes.

fuel filter blocked or dodgy fuel
but to sure take to citroen and get it pluged in to the computer as the ecu stores all falt codes as they happen!

are the brake lights staying on, if so this is confusing the ecu because it thinks your accelerating and braking at the same time
