Like golden showers and things of that nature...if someone wants to get peed on or pooed on...hey have at it...I dont particularly agree with poo at all, but a shower is not all that bad...Cannot knock anything until you try...

People judge other people because of fear and ignorance. It sounds icky to them, it offends their sense of decorum and the distaste simply closes their mind. People who fear are very limited in their outlook on life, its a box they hide in and alot of times they want everyone else to hide in it too.
I'm not into scat, sorry it just smells bad. However I've used golden showers in BDSM for a couple of decades now and used it for a variety of reasons. I consider it marking my property. I've had submissives who considered it humiliating and it turned them own or fed some inner need, and I've had others who considered it a privilege and an honor. I don't consider it a fetish as I am not compulsed to do it, I simply use golden showers as another tool.

Unfortunately, if you don't have the same impulses, it can be weird to conceive of anyone getting hot over certain things- for example, golden showers and scat are pretty common currently, or at least notorious. But if someone told me they were aroused by something, like houseplants, I'd have to raise an eyebrow and say 'really'? It's just so unusual and something I can't imagine because I don't have the same feelings.
Also, are we sure that sometimes the judgement over fetishes are because of the nature of it? People who are against golden showers and scat are probably not big fans of pee and poop in general terms, either. Just the same way people who think feet are stinky, sweaty havens of germs are probably going to say that a foot fetish is weird.
But I always tell people to try something: you might like it, or you'll get a good laugh in doing so!

Maybe because fetishes are quite weird in a way. This is just an opinion. I have no personal stand against fetishes, so as long as no one's hurt along the way. Live and let live! \m/
