Both major political parties are responsible for growing the size of government. The Democrats are controlled by absolute leftwing extremists who want to resurrect Karl Marx and implement his nefarious schemes in the USA. The Republicans, meanwhile, have been co-opted to left-of-center positions on far too many issues (immigration, gun rights, affirmative action, etc.).
Has America hopelessly shifted to the Left? Are there no real conservatives who will emerge to stand up against this neo-Marxist jauggernaut?

both parties have moved in different directions. The extremists have taken over.
Sooner or later, a 3rd party may emerge for the middle.

You're kidding, right? Taxing corporations is nationalizing them? There is no possible basis for these off the wall statements.

This is why it is important to know about the issues you personally care about and it is also why Democratic, Republican and Black caucuses are dishonest. That just impels all these reps to fall in line instead of allowing votes on the reps conscious. They are punished by the party heads if they come out in opposition. Example: Joe Liberman.
How can we trust our own vote if it's the PARTY they represent instead of all the people that voted for them based on their personal views and beliefs and what they actually campaigned on?

Actually, Bush sold the conservatives a pig in a poke and because he talks the talk, they bought it. Bush has never been a true conservative and he merely gives lip service to being a Christian. But, he talks big. And, unfortunately, the right-wing Christians aren't that hard to fool. If you believe that Bush is conservative, look at his record while Gov. of Texas.
Until people quit letting the social issues determine how they vote, they will continue to be snowed.

we've not had a Conservative government on generations so there incredibly is not any assessment We observed symptoms of it below Regan, the place we had an incredible economic enlargement and resurgence of yank capacity. yet even then the Congress replaced into no longer completely conservative.

Interesting question. Bush has always been on shaky ground with conservatives, which explains the recent tactic by the democrats to turn them off from voting (pretending to be shocked by homosexuality, etc). On the other hand, liberals do nothing but anger them, so their turnout may be strong tuesday

It seems America is hopelessly right wing to the onlooker. There seems to be no end to the distress in the US, that the republicans will always have control no matter what.
Here's a joke for you. What do Americans call terrorism? Patriotism.
Yeah, I hate it too. But relax. It's only a government right wing conspiracy.

The real problem is that the US is so far right, that we could not even comprehend left.
Libertarians are the far left now, and they are dead center
