I would vote for Justine as in the final against sharapova, but Justine will win. The rest of the players, Dementiava, Petrova, Kim, Hinges, Maresmo & Kutnatsova, have no champion quality or the nerve to finish the match & the fear of victory dominate them in important matches or against Sharapova. Right now ONLY 2 players have all the qualities ,Justine & Maria !!!

I think so too ! Justine will win . I dislike Sharapova cuz of her arrogance, disrespect to other players, self centered ,mean & only for money & fame, especially when she told the press, " show me the money ".

You are correct, Hardenne and Sharapova have a very good chance of winning the championship, but you should also consider some other great contenders, like the defending champion Mauresmo, and 2005 U.S. Open champion Kim Clijsters. Even tough i like Dementieva, Petrova, Kuznetsova, and Hingis alot, i think they are no match for the other four.
Personally, i think Sharapova, who won the championships in 2004 will win the tournament. Maybe defeating Mauresmo in the final.

I agree that it would probably be between the two toughest competitors in women's tennis, Justine and Maria. At the end of the day it will be decided on how fit Justine is which is still a question mark add that up with Sharapova's form.

Sharapova can crown her coming of age nicely if she hasn't run out of steam and is ready for her chance at the year-end #1 rank. Mauresmo is due to play well again (once every few months) if healthy. JHH ought to be too exhausted, but can hardly be counted out. If Clijsters is in a good frame of mind and has good luck with the draw in avoiding JHH, I could see her winning (in fact, although she seem like the type of person to do such a thing, she might be in position to tank her third RR match if it means avoiding JHH in the semis).

i completely agree
most probably the final will be between justine and sharapova.
but its hard to say who will win cos justine was usually defeating her,but at the us open,sharapova won.
as of now sharapova is in better shape compared to justine,so probably she has a better chance.
however personally i hope henin hardenne wins cos i think shes a great player.

i also think that maria sharapova has the biggest chance to reclaim the title.she is in form right now.but anything can happen.i hope justine will win it if maria sharapova doesn't.she really deserves to get the crown.

i dont like Henin or Sharapova but i think considering present form(infact the only playr whose been playin ok is maria) is maria. But personally i like Mauresmo and clijsters
