If HDD is still recognized, then run Scandisk:
Right click C:/Properties/Tool/Select Automatically/Start
Or restoring sector 0 and repair all bad sectors, clusters. Software is more expensive than HDD. If cant find freeware then it's better to sell it and buy a new one!
