if u mean in general its Italy they won the world cup 4 times , French only had one world cup . They both had a great legends such as Blatini and Paolo Rossi .
in the Last World Cup : Italy was better , cuz in the semis they beat Germany 2-0 while France beat Portugal by a penalty . in the final France score again by a penalty
France tried to score a goal but the Italian defense and the GK r the best ever .
in the 1st 2 games France couldn't win SUI or Korea and in the last 2 games France wouldn't score without a penalty.
some of the French Fans here would say that after the world cup in Sept, France won 3 against Italy but they forgot that Italy played with the 2nd team,
yu5uf have u forgot that ur an INDIAN ? and if u want to mention the 2008 qualifiers lets not forgot that France lost to Scotland , remember they didn't even reach the world cup.STOP INSULTING PPL .
to trekkervilla r u saying that Brazil didn't deserve to win 1994 ??? and if its a shameful thing as Blater said why dont they just cancel the rule ? its not the Italy fault and its not their fault that the game went to shoot out it must have end 1-0 but the referee gave a wrong penalty to the French.

Yea Italy did win the WC but I still believe France is the better team

The final game I saw in the World Cup Italy vs France.... Italy won the trophy, so I would say Italy is the better team!

hello.. emma.. yes france lost to scotland nd italy lost only to croatia and france and drew with LITHUANIA.. i donot want to be dragged into this controversy again but for sure italy needed oscar winner fabio grosso to pass australia.. didnt they trust buffon for the penalty shootout??
winning a world cup thru penalty is the most disgraceful way to winn.. it mite be possible that italy is better but its a shameful way of winning the cup.. even sepp blatter has decided to ban penalties in the finals and has apologised to france and decided that for 2010 there cud be 2 winners..
for me both the teams are equally good but since i support zidane and henry.. i gotta say france.. but no offence to italy..
