that helps some what but i'm looking for like the whole trailer the lights are mounted i just need a pic or something of how the wires run to them

the reason i need a pic of it is because someone has wired it before there selves so all the wires are yellow.

It really depends where you are... you don't even say what country you're in.
You'll need to check with your local motor vehicle authority, to find out what the rules are in your location


"so all the wires are yellow" Gotta love people who do that...
Be prepared to either rip it all out and wire it right, or spend a little time checking the wires with a meter or a buzzer - and labeling them!!

why not just buy a new wiring harness?? about 25 bucks. just follow the color code in the instruction and tire off any excess to your trailer. i had the same problem when i first bought my used boat. i got tired of shorts to ground because of all of the spices someone did. its funny how manyy people think they are an electrician when they dont know a ohm from a amp!!

Brown is tail light/marker lights.
White is ground.
I think yellow is left turn/brake and green is right turn/brake light.

Most of the time they are ran down one side of the trailer and then split in the rear to the other side.
