Hi,
When I was a 17yrs old, I had a friend who was a Saggitarius (he passed away in a car accident in the summer of 1985 ) and I gotta admit, he was the most honest person and he would always tell the truth, even if you didn't want to hear it.
His mom used to tell me that she would ask him questions in his sleep and he would still be honest with her even if he wasn't awake enough to think.
I have also heard the same saying that you have heard...If you want the truth just ask a Saggitarius... even in their sleep.

I am a Saggitarius..and I will tell you the truth.. I am very frank..and I hate liar's...but I will not purposely hurt your feeling's ither...I will be your very best friend. But if you hurt me..there couldn't be a more cunning, verbal, mean person out there getting there point across to you. We are lover's of nature, animal lovers, very honest...meaning...telling you what we feel. I don't think it means...you can trust us..if that is what your looking for. We are all flirts!!! But..if we find the right one..that's it!!! For life....man or woman..I know alot of Saggitarius Men..there the same!

Speaking from a bi-astrological person's point of view (...giggle...), I do believe that most Sagittarians are somewhat, if not totally, honest people.
I'm a CUSP... which means I was born on the cutoff day to be Scorpio and the start day to be a Sagittarius... essentially, I'm a lil' bit of both.
The majority of Sagittarians that I've come to know are usually mild mannered people who's eyes can sometimes be windows to their souls. Along with these virtues, comes the ability to be sincere, caring, and honest without much effort.
I Heart Sagittarians!!

Yes Sweetie, Were honest to a fault. If you want the truth or an honest opinion just come to us. We love honesty, and we expect it from the people around us. People that know me always ask my opinion on almost everything because they know i'm going to give them the truth even if it's not so good sometimes. We don't try to hurt people's feelings by being blunt and honest, it just comes naturally to us. We feel like honesty is the best policy. If you don't want the truth then don't ask a Sagittarius because they will more than likely give it to you. Proud Saggitarian(December 18th) !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Because Sags are generally honest to a fault, and don't even realize it. They are the ones who give you backhanded compliments such as, "Wow, I always thought purple hair would look weird, but on you, it works!" innocent observations like, "Oh gee, just because other people think you are a jerk doesn't mean I agree with them." They will usually tell you the truth in their own guileless way. Of course there are exceptions to the rule! Isn't there always? Nobody is set in stone according to their Sun sign. The magic of astrology is in how close it comes to people's personalities in a general way.

I am a Sag, and the arch represents aiming, thus we "aim for the truth" and we will give it to you. But we can be headstrong at times and will give you the truth being brutally honest without giving a damn about feelings. But I do let the truth be known, but I guess it's true to a certain extent.

Because a Sag will say the first thing they think, consenquences be damned. if they are comfortable in talking with you, if not they may say something vague and generic. I am often accused of mean behavior, but it really just honesty intended.

Yes every now and then I have lied before but not if it is to a friend. I've lied to my parents only and teachers and I'm a Sagittarius
