Years ago, I spent six years working for a small company, (7 to 10 full time employees). The company has since gone out of business. I believe the manager, who was not a young man then, is no longer alive.
I dreamed that I went back, in the middle of the night, and let myself in, with a key I still had in my pocket. I found everything pretty much as I had left it. Apparently, they were still in business.
After hanging out for a few hours, I was startled by a strange man, who seem equally startled to see me. I assumed he was a current employee, and I introduced myself.
Soon, other employees started showing up, including my former coworkers, and my former boss. He told me of a crisis, where a number of newer employees had quit, and badmouthed him to corporate HQ on the way out. He had tears in his eyes as he told me this.
I told him I thought it was just a personality conflict, and that he shouldn't take it too personally.

It means, that probably you were out there working too late, and maybe you were responsible for all the success they had enjoyed during your tenure there, and probably they need your expert hand again.
It could be like this only, otherwise a boss or a co-worker will never confide to you with tears, well, you're famous then, congratulations.

It means you think too much about work or you feel guilty for not doing something to help your former boss. And in your dream your trying to brush off that guilty feeling by telling him its a personal conflict.
Its all what YOU think. That's what the dream means.

You still have the memories of that small company. It happens while you are fully awake in your subconscious mind but you don't realize and dream in sleep and recall it when you wake up.
