My father...an italian american over sixty just came back from italy on vaction. I could not believe it when he told me how badly he was treated by the majority of the younger italians there.....he actually got into an argument...my pops is no whimp.....he said they were saying bad things about our country etc...It was insulting enought for him to remind them who saved their arses in ww2 from mussolini....what is everything coming to...damn...things are bad when an old italian from nyc gets harrasssed in his home country?

the U.S is getting a bad rep all over the world now. some governments may stick with them but that is just economical. the common people around the world are sick of the U.S and their run the world attitude, most countries have cultures way better and more solid than that of the american. get rid of that government before it has no friends but a pile of cash to sit on !!!

well the truth of the matter is that you refused to fight the Nazis and passed laws stopping and American brave enough to join an other army to fight the Nazis
look Bush went it alone, while Republicans might believe the rubbish about Iraq attacking the twin towers no one else does. it is an unjust war conducted incompetently.
even you allies think your fools. the hatred you have against France ,(freedom fires !!!! how old are you legislators 8?) just makes you look immature and foolish.while you are the world's remaining super power you apparently cant control one 4th rate country, and this makes you look impotent and powerless

It's a good question.
The whole world hates America, but we don't hate Americans.
We (here in Australia) don't agree with your invasion of Iraq. It was based on lies and the more your president denys it, the worse it gets.
We also don't like your blind support for Israel as it murders innocent people in Gaza, Palestine and Lebanon.
6 years ago the world looked up to America, now we just look down on it. What has happened to your once great country in that time? It's very, very sad.

Good for your dad what a man .
To take that persecution and stand strong for his country I take my hat off to him .
There are a lot of people who are not against America.
And in social situations when America is being burned by the tongue of fire "the propoganda machine!!.
Many speak out as I do and I know of others who do just like your dad.
People are living by their emotions of fear and worry and think if America was to just "behave itself ",all the nasty terrorist activity will stop!.
Not true.
The only way to retain freedom is to fight the terrorists and extremists other wise they will just walk in and take over then what are you going to do when your country goes into slavery to late!.

Our inept, self-serving and clumsy foreign policy has assured us of this negative perception from common people around the world. If this is the attitude in Italy; think of what it is in our list of 'hostile' or unfriendly countries.
I wish that your question & comment could be read by the White House.

We no longer have a credible reputation like we used to!! More people, all over the world, everyday look down on us, and everytime that happens ...we are losing in general!!
Americans are not viewed positively ..thats for sure!!!
You can blame bush for that!!!!!
