NOT AT ALL.......if there is even ONE person among those who ask questions about suicide really IS suicidal, and one, or some of the answers can help this person so that he/she goes and seeks help, I couldn't care less if this whole board was filled with questions like that.

Like you I sometimes wonder if the person who poses a dramatic question is doing it to get a good "laugh" out of the people who try to answer to it truthfully.
However, I'm not here to judge questions people ask, hence the fact that, when I reply to a question, I'm always totally honest.

I hope you never ever get suicidal to begin with, but if it should happen, and you'd turn to this board for help, I hope no-one calls

Who are you to judge? Not that you need to know, but my Uncle committed suicide. It is heartbreaking to loose someone that you love so much and were close with. People who have serious thoughts about suicide are just reaching out to someone for advice of some sort. I know that if any person needed help, even if it is on Y!A, I would be here for them. I hope that you never come to a point in your life that you feel depressed and you need to turn to someone for help, even if it is on Y!A. Have a little compassion would ya!

Obviously you've never suffered from depression or know someone that has, suicide is no joking matter. Wanting to take your own life is very hard to explain to people, but there are times where you can't stand yourself and want to end it. Sucide is no joke and I don't care how stupid you think it is, until you lived through I think you need to keep your opinions to yourself.

yes and no. No because these people are asking for help. When I feel really down I have thought about suicide. I think in a little way yes because they are really asking help in the wrong place. They need a professional help like a doctor or counsel

What's it matter to you? If someone genuinely has issues, and this is the only way for them to comfortably speak about it, why do you have to go and call it "stupid?" I think it's stupid when people ask questions they already have a formulated answer to and only post it to get other people to say, "Yeah! You're totally right! I agree with you."

I agree,If they really want to kill themselves they should go seek help,and not post it on here.We are not all doctors so we obviously can't help them.Everybody has problems.I find it very hard to feel bad for a suicidal person.There are so many people who would love to stay alive,but instead are clinging on to life.I think they should be grateful that they are alive.So many lose their lives and don't deserve it.I think most of them are just babies.

Everyone has something that makes themselves feel unconfortable, maybe even you. But you're free to think that if you wish, but I just think that those questions are serious and you need to take them seriously too.
