I don't visit those kind of sites!
Don't want to worry you but you can NEVER get rid of the record anyway

Click on Tools then Browser Options then clear URLs and Clear Search..
Be aware though that there are other records of your activity. If you have Norton Anti Virus go to the Activity Log and you can delete the records of web sites viewed.
You could also buy Internet Clean-up.
If you looked at sites on your Outlook Express Newsgroups there may be a list of temporary files listed . Use 'Search' usung keywords.
Your ISP will have records though.
Hope this helps as I had a visitor do some dodgy stuff on my computer and found out the hard way.

in internet explorer, go to Tools>Internet Options
click clear history.
if ur concerned about someone probing further click delete temporary files.
the option to delete cookies (record of sites visited kept for use by other sites) is also here, so delete those too.
the temporary internet files are stored in ur main drive in Documents and Settings>(ur user account)>Local settings>Temporary Internet Files
(the history file is also in the local settings file).
to individually delete history items do it in this history folder, or do it the way Shirl said.

Yes...... click on the tools menu and there is a "clear private data" tab this will clear all your private history, however if you just want to clear certain information go into tools, click on history then highlight what you wish to delete, right click then click delete.........but this will not clear the cookies

While you are on the Internet, go to "tools" ... "Internet option" ... "clear history"; click on clear history, say yes and you are done!
Now, while you are there, click on delete files to get rid of all Internet temporary file. Then click on delete cookies to get rid of all cookies too.

On your web browser, there should be a history icon, if you click on it and look at what you've been looking at you can delete it from there. You can also change it so that it doesn't keep a record by going into your settings.

You can also look for and install a free little program called CCLEANER.
This program not only "cleans" your history, but wipes out unwanted cookies, "recent" files, dead registry items, and more.
Definitely something nice to use after surfing websites you (ahem) inadvertantly browsed.
