I personally really enjoy the experience of small stores. I think they are a sub culture unto themselves, and I enjoy any and all opportunities to visit them. I am pretty frugal and quality conscious so I admit that I don't buy most of what I need there, but If you want to know which experience I enjoy more...it is the small stores. I wish they were able to be more competitive...but that is life in this Neo-modern world.

I practically get all i need from small shops:the service is much better:they have more exclusive products than you would find in a "hypermarket".Where I live in the Hague we are blessed with hundreds of these shops.Love to get a fresh:cicek,that's a bread in the shape of a flower:6 round buns circling a center one.I need to stop answering now,because on a Saturday they sell out quickly.And herbs,spices,sauces,cream yogurt etc.

The little store on the corner. Hypermarket; haven't heard that term. Assuming you are referring to supermarket ? If so, good reference. If not, I'm clueless. Again.

Little store on the corner. The big chains are putting the mom and pop stores out of business. I would like to keep them around so my grandkids can experience them too.

I would go to Wal-Mart because I hate small mom and pop stores.

i like smaller stores although they are more expensize they usually have better selections, and it is a better stmosphere with regular hard wroking people
