Will all this pressure be enough to alter Bush's Agenda for the Middle East, or is he so powerful he can ignore this challenge as well?

What's next????

More of the same!! ..... Nothing at all!!! Thats what they are good at!! They spend a lot of time talking (BS) and not enough acting, or doing for our troops or the American people (majority of Americans) who want this war to end, corruption to end, rumsfeld to resign ...all of it. George Bush made it perfectly clear that he's standing by Rumsfeld no matter how bad the criticisim or how many people say he should resign, Bush does what he does best, ..... Not Listen, and Not Care!!! He's an ignorant, stubborn fool and he will continue to do what we all expect him to do, (or at least I do ) which is NOTHING!!!

Bush seems to be hanging on tight to Rumsfeld. I don't know if Rumsfeld is to blame exactly...I do know that Bremer had problems with him when he was in Iraq. But, I also heard criticism about Bremer so I personally think that no matter who had the job of actually following through with trying to make Iraq a democracy could not do a good enough job. Some conservative republicans who supported going into Iraq and setting up a democracy claim this should have been a cakewalk and is blaming all the administration for the problems. Well, it isn't a "cakewalk" to set up a country in crappy shape with different tribal sections that's been run by a dictator for 40 years and expect it to be a "cakewalk". What do you propose now? Abandon Iraqi people to the insurgents? Don't ever be my friend and say you'll support me and then when things get tough, leave me...with friends like that, who needs enemies?

A president has a great deal of power, however, when it comes to a situation that is clearly against his judgment then he must admit defeat and remove a particular person from office. Bush doesn't have to move too quickly because he is a lame duck president (or will be) and he only has two more years to go and then he is history. He will be doing a great disservice to the USA if he allows Rumsfeld to remain in office.

What really amazes me is that half of Americans still believe what this administration says.. They control the news media, so they will just lie, spin and come up with another montra... rumsfeld will stay and the war will go on.

We're probably stuck with them as long as the chimp is still in office. He ignored Colin Powell, so why expect anything approaching logic?

Powerful? No, but he's definitely so ignorant that he will continue to 'stay the course' and keep our soldiers dying for his lies.
