These answers are mostly correct...but my main concern is that if your snake had a problem during its' shed and there are some evidence of "stuck" shed, then the humidity was not high enough for you snake.

Now that this problem has been solved...you need to look at your snakes shed and see if the eye caps have shed with the main shed...the reason is that a retained will cause later symptoms and problems for you snake.

If not...consult a vet about retained eye caps.

Good luck

Let me know if you have any questions...

this is perfectly normal, some places take longer for the skin to totally come off. Be careful how you "help" with the shed. Don't pull on a place where it is not ready to shed yet, you can damage scales that way. you can gently pull on the part that is already off. If there is a flap of skin that has begun shedding, but has not fully came off, you can break the loose shed off, or, if it pulls on the unshedded part, you can take some toenail clippers, and clip the flap of dead skin off that has already shed, just so there isnt a flap of skin hangin from his tail. Just give him time; and warm baths definatly help

Set up a bowl of water in the cage...large enough for full submersion. Get one of the bubble stones used for fish tanks and the pump to power the air through it. A lot of snakes really enjoy the moving water. This will help her get the moisture she needs for a complete shed...:-)

No there is nothing to worry about. The skin will come off in due time. My ex roommate had a snake. And it would take his python almost 2 full weeks to shed. The snake was approx. 3 foot long. And I'm sure it takes longer as they age and get bigger.

nothing to worry about sometimes that happens when it begins to shed which could take weeks or it might be something left behind from the last shed which will come off on it's on or next time it sheds and that does happen somtimes!

no thats not right.. once the sheding process has begun it should only take a hour or two to get the skin all the way off. if it comes off in more then one or two pieces then your humidity is to low and you need to bump it up a bit.
