Make a paste of table salt with a tiny bit of cold water, enough to make a paste and rub it into the stain really good, make sure the entire stain gets it and then rub it good with a rag/then vacuum out; this should do it.

I think it would be easier to just go buy some from the store. Seriously, have you tried this stuff called "Incredible". It's the best I've found. I think it's just dry cleaning fluid, but it works better than most things I've found.

Shout, brush, rinse and try to do it before the stain dries. Any knind of laundry pre-treater should to the trick.

club soda is supposed to take stains out... mayb try some good old carpet cleaner
