I've added up RAM on my pc, will it stop from saying virtual memory too low?

yes. because virtual memory is actually a part of the secondary storage i.e. your hard disk which is used by system temporoarily for swap files.

if your primary memory is too low, then more of secondary storage is used up as virtual memory causing ur machine to slow down.

RAM is normally your actual memory that is installed into the motherboard, Virtual memory is when the hard drive is used as a temporary place for memory to be used. It stores the memory onto your hard drive to help things run better.

Two things that is telling you, 1 is that either your virtual memory is set WAY TOO low, or 2 whatever processes are running is using ALL the memory capacity and having to overflow onto the hard drive, so purchasing more memory will help.

To increase your virtual memory in Windows Xp do this:
open CONTROL PANEL,
SYSTEM,
Click on ADVANCED tab,
Click on SETTINGS under the PERFORMANCE section,
Next click on tab ADVANCED again,
at the bottom is an area for VIRTUAL MEMORY click CHANGE,
Click on Custom Size, then you can enter a minimum and a maximum size for the virtual memory. Hope this helps..
