Ok I make moccasins, I want to make a pair of high tops- that go to the knee and I am going to bead them. I have a problem though- I am not sure what size I should make them. I would like to get a general idea for a common shoe size- men or women, it doesn't matter- so what size shoe do you wear and what is your gender?
(yes that makes a difference since mens and womens shoe sizes are different)

uh thanks for the suggestion about the different sizes - I would do but the material for just one pair cost me around $130- and with the beadwork, usually take 2 months to make- these are not quick nor are they cheap- that is why I am trying to determine a good "average" on sizing

I'm a size 16 mens... can you make a pair in that size? :-)
I guess I didn't help your statistics too much.
But I can tell you most girls have a size 7, 8, 8 1/2, and 9. And most guys were a 9 thru 11.
I worked at Pacific Sun so I know.

The average ladies shoe size is 7 1/2 or 8
men's is 10 1/2 or 11. (I used to sell shoes)

in general, women use either size 7 or 8 while 10 for men..
i use size 7

I'd make a Small womens size 6 , Medium womens sz. 8,
& a large sz. womens 10.
For Men I'd make a small sz. 7-8, Med. 9-10, & lge. 11-13
I wear a size 81/2 BTW.
