My name is Megan and I've actually never known the origin or meaning, but I just looked it up. It's Greek for Pearl and Welsh for Little Pearl. So then I was all happy thinking "Aww I'm so glad it has a nice meaning", until I looked up my middle name Marie and found it, it means Bitter in Hebrew. But it's a French form of Mary too. =) Good question btw!
