Lots of women died in childbirth and that would be interesting to research. Most men had more than one wife because the others had died in childbirth. Not really an epidemic, but killed a lot of women.
Also, the plague killed a lot of people and simple diarreah killed many especially infants.

They had lead pipes for drinking water so many of them would develop mental illness if they lived long enough due to lead poisoning. I'm sure they had a huge number of venereal diseases with all the partying and whatnot that went on. Wars killed many.
