Hi,
Though I am not in automobile, but I am an engineer and a good driver. I understand that you too are a good driver.
However, you have not clearly mentioned what kind of noise does it make? i.e.
When you shift the gears, do you notice some obstructions inside the gear box? If this is so, then changing the gears, shafts, clutch plates will be of no help as this is caused by the engine body. If there is slightest misalignment or fault in manufacturing of the engine body then any of the parts may not function properly. I assume most probably you are facing this problem.
Or else, if it produces a jerk while shifting the gears, or if the transmission is not smooth, then the clutch plates and its panel may have some fault.
A driver must understand that some mechanics keep the clutch lever a little more loose than it should be i.e. when you depress the clutch lever, the clutch is not fully applied, you shift the gear and it pulls the drive chain (you should know that the drive chain is always a little loose and as soon as clutch is applied, the tension comes at the lower side of the chain). So while shifting the gear, would make a noise and produce a jerk too...
A good bike does never make noise in shifting the gear, not even a jerk. So much so, that the rider at my bike wouldn't even realise that I had changed the gear.
For my drive test, even Hero Honda bikes have failed as I noticed many faults which make me think that Hero Honda does not have good engineers.
If someone asks my opinion, I would recommend Bajaj Pulsar or Discover bikes.
And for you owner of The TVS Apache, I suggest that you file a complaint in core.nic.in or in the consumer courts and claim for a refund or replacement.

Apache is a good bike, there may be some problem with manufacturing sometimes. But overall the performance is very good. You can contact the authorised dealer to get the problem fixed. If you are not satisfied go directly to the company sales/service manager, and try to explain him the problem. On the last course, if you don`t get it rectified, get the help of the District Consumer Forum to get relief

regardless of the shown fact that I somewhat have a pulsar one hundred eighty, yet i desire to advise u to decide for apache if u desire good overall performance without worrying approximately mileage. yet whilst u desire a useful motorbike, then Pulsar is a greater useful decision. Pulsar can't compete with Apache while Apache could be in comparison to R15..! Pulsar can attain as much as 134+ regardless of the shown fact that it takes long to attain while apache can attain quicker. the seems of Apache is greater aggressive and console is greater useful. greater relies upon u no count if u decide for Pulsar or Apache. undergo in recommendations that the driving posture of Apache is extremely uncomfortable for long rides and for zipping contained in the direction of the city too. Pulsar is greater useful in this area.. better of success...!!

get your transmission checked by a good mechanic. the transmission might have problems. the gears are not properly holding the sockets. or might be that yours gears are too tight.
tell the mechanic to get a detailed check of your transmission.
hope your Apache copes up
