This is for all the Texans out there. Who do you think will win the Governor's election?

Probably the repulsive incumbent Gov. Good Hair. The GOP nicely cooked the race by having two candidates. Strayhorn pretends to be an independent, which is curious indeed since she is an incumbent GOP office holder.
Chris Bell is a good and decent fellow with all the charisma of white toast, unbuttered.
I'd most like to see Kinky Friedman because of the sheer outrageousness of it, but also because of what it would mean. His strongest demographic is the young voters. This is the group that is so disgusted with government that they do not much believe their votes matter and often opt put. If they show up n record numbers and elect Kinky, it may signal their participation in the process and bring new life to elected government.
And with Kinky as governor, there's not a prayer he'd be called Gov.Good Hair!

Sadly, the polls indicate the Governor Hair (aka Perry) will win again. I wish it were any of the other three candidates. But for sure, they are all strong enough that he won't get a majority of votes.
But the governor's office in Texas is not very powerful, largely a figurehead position. The Lt. Gov has a lot of the power.

Perry will win with about 36% of the vote. Sad, really, almost seven in ten voters will have voted against the guy.
I voted for Chris Bell.
