Can you believe the nerve of Samuel Eto'o? He said that Lehmann does not deserve the trophy and that it should be given to Buffon who has been "immense". Well, perhaps Eto'o would have been forced to swallow his words if Lehmann had remained on the pitch in the CHampions League final. Arsenal would then have won the game, and Eto'o would have hung up his head in shame...

true had jens not been sent off.. eto'o wud be nowhere.. it was unfair on jens and well.. east or west.. lehmann is the best in the prem and well in the world he has competition with buffon but sice juve isnt doing soo well and this season itself jens made loads of spectacular saves..((ie the 1 against manu)) so give it to jens.. no one deserves it more than him.. gooo jens..

Buffon Easily
He Won The World Cup With Italy
He Won The Serie A With Juventus (He Didn't Know They Were Cheating)
And He Has Been Extremely Loyal To His Club Juventus Will They Struggle In Serie A (At Least He Stayed At The Club To Fight Unlike The Rest Of They're Star Players)
And As If Lehmann Would Win, He Is The Most Inconsistent Player In The World And The Most Overrated

Well, as has been said better than I could, Eto'o is right. Buffon does deserve it far more than Lehmann. Sorry if that offends your fanboy sensibilities, but we have to go on actual play here :-)

Lehmann was fabulous at the World Cup.Why,if he wasn't Germany's goalkeeper,Argentina would have reached the Semis!
He was Germany's Hand of God.(geddit..hand of god!).But Gianluigi Buffon is also one of the greatest goalkeepers today..so it has to be either buffon or Lehmann.

I think both Buffon and Lehmann were great.
But Buffon was better in the World Cup, esp. when you consider how anemic Italy's offense was.
