I want to leave my boyfriend but all things are in my name and this is my house so I cannot just walk off. After seven years I can't take anymore! Physically he has been violent once before but all abuse is emotional or mental. An example is like tonite he knows i have to work in the am and he is to watch the kids but if he cannot have sex with me then he is considering not watching the kids. Also, since he claims I am paying him no "attention" tonite then he took my car and left at 1am in the morning. I am in my senior year of college with 2 semsters to go and it is detrimental to me to be self suffient so i stay out of these type of dependant relationships (although he relies on me financially and i use him for child care conflicts). How can I get out and stay out when this is my home.

Its your house you don't have to go anywhere. The next time he becomes violent call the police have him removed...If u cant wait that long call the cops and tell them u have asked him to leave and he refuses to do so. Then the next day get your self a restraining order... You will now have to find sumone else to watch the kids Hopefully u live near family It would be good if they took them for a few days wile u get your life in order...Its not an easy task but one you can do and will be great full later for

I would send him packing. Excuse me but he sounds like a major ***. I understand you have a conflict when it comes to having him watch your kids yet it sounds as though he is not very dependable anyway. Did you not say because you did not let him have sex then he does not want to keep the kids? I am sorry but that is a way for him to control you. Not to mention he depends on you financially. I would be laying the law down to him especially if you are the provider. I would not go any where send him packing!!!

Okay.. listen.. I could say a lot of things.. however.. try this:
Just tell this clod that he's a wonderful guy, he comes on a bit too strong to you at times, and you really want to make it work, but this is getting harder and harder, because you are feeling worthless and kinda used..remind him you BOTH are in this together.. and it will take some "give and take" on both ends.
Tell him if things don't begin to change, he will have to look for another place to live.. that should do it..
Best of life and love to sweety.. u have been through too much...
If all else fails, talk about how u want to marry soon, and see how he reacts to that..

Buy an new lock for your door. Confront him and tell him how you feel about the relationship. If he throws a tantrum and does leave with the intention of coming back (meaning he takes your car again) Switch the lock and report your car stolen to the police.

Everything is in your name right. Kick his a** to the curb. It is your home but if you feel unsafe call the police and get a restraining order. You have kids to protect and you don't want your kids seeing whats happening to you.

Call the cops and get a restraining order....

Or right now.... when he is out get the locks changed and throw his stuff out on the lawn. If the house is in your name tell him he is out and if he comes back he is tresspassing. Call the cops

tell him what he is doing and that you are fed up and tell him if he does not shape up, then you will be forced to take action. always try to work it out cause obviously you still love him. but make sure you stand up to him to make him respect you. you are a college student so im sure your smart. but if it does not work, take him to court. but dont leave him for someone cause thats adding to the problems
