Because they know why you "try" to love their cultrue. They would much rather you be interested in them as Individual persons not as a "group" or a "culture" or take an interest in their culture merely because they are Black and its PC to do so. You also underestimate their ability to see your spurious and insulting attempts to pretend you like them when deep down you are still very predjudiced. Only honesty will assuage their anger and rightful hatred of bigotry.

So many ways in which I could respond to this question, so little time...First off, though I'm sure that there are plenty of stereotypes working against me on this one, "acting ghetto" should not be considered a part of black culture. (Maybe its just me, but I just find that terribly offensive.) Secondly...and you may actually like this comment...I agree with you in saying that some people (example: SOME whites, asians) behave the way that they do because of their backgrounds/environments and not because they are trying to imitate others (SOME black people, in this case). With that said, I say shame on those who scold these people for being who they are. They are doing nothing more than stereotyping the individuals and that is just not right!
Oh yea...I do have to mention that there are some non-blacks who choose to play into the stereotypes and feel that they have to act a certain way when around a black person. Now this is something that I have seen and experienced before, and you know what? It is annoying! To any and all who choose to go this route, cut it out! I am a regular, ENGLISH-speaking, person just like every other normal, English-speaking person on Earth! You don't have to pull out your ebonics flash cards in order to speak to me!
Wheew...I guess I really needed to get that one out, huh?

Because they know you are a fake and when you get ready to go running back to your own kind you can do it in a heart beat. Black people have still be black and have people have stereotypes about them played out a 1000 times a day. Any way what the f u c k does ghetto mean. The last time someone outside of the race called someone black ghetto, sorry, I put her a s s in check because I think a few of the people in her race acted a little barrio, and if you are asian you got one, and white folks are trailer trash and I am sure Indians, Middle Easterners, Greeks, Russians have their ghetto's to. So quit insultling black people with that Ghetto s h i t
Quit trying to act Black because it's a distinctive style and you ain't black and you look fake.

It's fake, you have to experience a culture to become part of that culture. I don't even like people that try to be something when they really don't know the real culture behind it and specially if they have not experience it. It's fake, period.
Just so you know the Ghetto is not a pretty word to use around in my opinion. Ghetto has history it means where the Jews used to live in which was concentration camp. Back in the days when WWII was around and the whole Nazi thing. Maybe you can learn about something.
So the whole thing about black people living in Ghettos, I don't thing thats true. Because there not living in concetration camp.

My opinion:
It can be seen as a mockery of "ghetto culture" for someone of another race to take on their dress and mannerisms. Like the person is an imposter, a pretender, and really has no idea of what the culture is all about. Whites and Asians are assumed not to have the credibility or the experience necessary to be a true part of the culture. It's as if they are groupies who hang out because it makes them look cool. They aren't really part of the club.

I don't know of a Black person who sees "Ghetto" as his or her culture.. what the fvck are you talking about?.
You think, "negativity", is a Black culture?, because that is what Ghetto means, something that is in mess and chaos. I guess someone gave you the wrong interpretation of the word. What makes you think a Black person lives in a ghetto (bad neighborhood) and considers that a culture?.

Are you saying that black culture is ghetto? That's an insult! I for one can not stand ghetto people of any sort. They are loud, and obnoxious most of the time.

I think the people that hate on them do so because they themselves hate ghettoness and to them Whites are the last people that should be acting that way.

The bottom line is that people are stupid. Why should it matter that someone wants to embrace a culture other than their own? People who have a problem with this have some serious issues with themselves.
