today is my birthday : ) my brothers called me to say "Happy Birthday" and my parents said so too (and my aunt and my cousin)
BUT my man hasn't, obviously he forgot
he won't get home from work for probably another 1/2-hour so I'm debating whether I should wait up for him just to be mad or just go to bed and be mad when he wakes me up
we're having all kinds of problems lately and now this, he's so inconsiderate that he can't even call to say "Happy Birthday!" I don't want/need or even expect a present, just a simple call to say he remembered (and cares)
my mom called me a little while ago and asked me if I got a nice dinner for my birthday. I laughed and said he hasn't even called all day to even say "Happy Birthday!" she laughed and said, "well, that's what happens when they stop caring"
how mad would you be? is this even something to be upset about? my mom said to forget his birthday when it comes around, kinda hard though, it's New Year's Eve, everyone knows his

I would've gone out tonight but we have a 2-yr-old and since I didn't have plans, I just stayed home and put her to bed. I was hoping he'd come home early and surprise me
my aunt's birthday was yesterday and she said something about going out tomorrow, so if he really did forget I'm going out with her (I think he did forget, I doubt he's gonna surprise me with anything when he gets home tonight, or tomorrow)

First let my say HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! and you have every right to be upset I know I would be. I wouldn't go to bed angry I let him have it as soon as he got home and then again when you got up.

I would go out. Go anywhere. Just don't be home when he gets there, and don't call to tell him where you are. Let him wonder for a few hours and when you come home, act like you had a great time, but make sure he knows you're hurt that he forgot about you. The point of you going "out" is so that he knows you don't need him to have a great time anymore..... and PS Happy Birthday!

I dont blame you for being upset at all. I know I would be and Id prolly want to cuss him out, forget his bday, ignore him, and everything else i could think of... but where is that going to get you? Right where you are. Ask him first if he forgot or if he was just being an asshole. (if you have an upfront relationship) Just tell him how mad, hurt, or how ever you feel. If he does care at all.. knowing he hurt will be punishment enough. If not.. maybe you should find someone who does.
Does your mom like your boyfriend? Im thinking not b/c Ive never heard an answer like that from an adult. lol

Happy Birthday sweetheart. You deserve a man who is considerate of your feelings. Yes I'd be hurt by his actions but maybe there are other influences that are affecting him. Maybe he's super stressed of busy at work. No excuse I know but it doesnt sound like the first time he's forgotten something special. Best of luck to you babe and GO OUT TOMORROW NIGHT!!!

First of all, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!! Mine is today. My wife just went to sleep and didn't tell me. It kind of hurt my feelings, but she has got alot on her mind right now, so no big deal. Does your man got some things on his mind or is he just not thinking about you? Wait and see if he says anything to you tonight, if not then give him the silent treatment tomarrow. If that doesn't bother him he doesn't care.

its sure is sad feeling when ur loved ones skip on the day u entered the world...i use to be ur kind...who wouldnt forgiv my close ones...if they forgot my birthday....time is a gr8 teacher believe me....i never forgot birthdays of ones i love...but last yr..i just couldnt keep a track on the dates & forgot that its the day of my hun's birthday...i did remembered it on time...but then i realised its not always that if one forget to wish u , its not that they dont care...i love my hubby too much..& belive me we hav all the worse fights all the times...but we cant live without each other ..its a feeling that cant be put in words...well ,maybe things r uptight ur hubby's schedule or something bothering him that his all thoughts r uptight too....well u hav all the rights to be upset ...but dont get judging him on that basis....keep ur silence he'll know it sooner or later.. sure will feel all hurt that though he made such a big blunder still u tolerated him..that will sure make him correct himself....& if u go on yelling on him he will sure go off feeling more miserable...& cornered...not the kinda of feeling that u intend to giv him....
loves 1st & last rule is...dont chain love... be reasonable....its ur birthday make it peaceful & happy...its good ur family is all safe & good & around u...enjoy
& for sure ur husband wouldnt forget ur birthday on purpose...so u know best....dont hurt purposely,thats worse...mistakes happen...& can be corrected

I would not be mad...just hurt! Maybe he's waiting until he gets home to surprise you...some people like to make you think they forgot by making you wait all day!! I don't think that's right...but...

Wait till he gets home and then wait untill morning.
My now husband was a Doofus... On our first valentines day he did NOTHING.... Waited till the next day and then SUPRISED ME WITH CHOCOLATES AND FLOWERS AND OH YES !!!
I WAS LIVID AND PISSED....
I told him that was wrong and stupid. I was totally upset. He wanted to make a statement and I told him he sure did. He said that everyone did stuff on Valentines day and I said and YOU???
He wanted to really suprise me... Yea he did and he never did that again!
If he does something like that...get a bit pissed...but if nothing then really get pissed and walk out....
