It is said that a long time ago, Venus used to be a lot like Earth. A buildup of greenhouse gasses caused most of the water to evaporate into space. Then the planet was a smacked by a tremendously large asteroid, slowing down its rotation. No rotation means no magnetic field, and no protection against solar radiation. Life may have existed on venus billions of years ago, but now the planet's surface temperature is 400 degrees celcius, with 300 mph winds.

I pray that humans are inteligent enough to avoid a similar fate. We can learn a lot from our desceased sister, Venus.

Venus is the second closest planet to the Sun,orbiting it every 224.7 Earth days. It is considered to be Earth's "ister planet" due to it's similar size and bulk composition. It's atmosphere is composed mostly of Carbon Dioxide. Apparently, women are from there.

VENUS IS THE CLOSEST PLANET TO THE EARTH. A DAY ON VENUS IS LONGER THAN A YEAR ON VENUS. IT'S ATMOSPHERE IS MAINLY COMPOSED OF Carbon-DI-oxide.
IT ALSO CONTAINS SULFURIC ACID IN ITS CLOUDS.
THE ATMOSPHERIC PRESSURE ON VENUS IS SUCH THAT
A HOUSE BUILD ON THE SURFACE OF VENUS WOULD BE COMPLETELY CRUSHED.
