Do blacks work as hard as whites?

When I was a kid my father used to say 'them F**ken ni**ers are bone idle'. 'Good for nothing!' That used to make me very anger as some of my best mates were black. When I was a kid I used to knock obout with 5 dudes. 3 white and 2 balck. We were all best of buds.The thing is that today the 2 black blokes are total wasters. 1 of them drinks and beats up his wife the other 1 sells herion to kids. The 2 other white blockes are big successes in there own life. Looking back now we all had the same educition and the same upbringing. Makes me wonder was my racist dad right?

no- your racist dad is not right; he was never right. the guy is still an ignorant bigot who seems to disregard the fact that regardless of whether a person is black, white, asian etc, as long as they work hard at what they do and give it 110%, their skin colour is irrelevant.

While Blacks and whites are totally equal it is the chances given to them that is important.

Can you imagine a racist dad like yours ever giving a job to blacks when he already has an opinion on them, so what does a black guy do, jobless, no money etc.

If there are two guys applying for a job, a white and a Black, I will let you guess who gets the job, education does not matter there.

Because blacks have been deprived of good jobs, they have used the alternative means to get on in life, best singers, best atheletics and sadly selling drugs etc.

Many individuals of all races work hard. How hard a person works is not a function of skin color. It depends on the person's work ethic, their job requirements and their perception of their opportunity for advancement. Some people are workaholics and will not slack off no matter what. Some people have jobs that require long hours and hard work. Some people will do anything to get ahead. On the other hand, it's hard to get motivated if your pay doesn't depend on the work you get done and you don't see any chance to get ahead. I know, I've had a few dead-end jobs and didn't expend nearly the effort I should have on them. Some of us are just born lazy. I'm one of them and I'm WHITE.

You also didn't say if your former friend who beats his wife has a job. Being a drunken wifebeater doesn't necessarily mean he's lazy. It just means he's a jackass. He could work 90 hours a week and still beat his wife.

As with all things you have to look beyond the first impression, when the first Jamaicans came here they were a lot more laid back due to their upbringing, we in England saw that as laziness, and many black people still have this stigma of laziness attached to them. Prejudice stops many employers taking on black people and in turn they see society as controlled by whites and rebel against it, there is no excuse for wife beating or selling drugs, but I am sure that there are white people who do it too.

I will say this, While I have been proving wrong I tend to get disappointed when a Black repair person, installer or what ever is doing me a service. The reason why is because in my experiences I have had more problem with them doing poor work. Of course Whites have done this too just not as much. I also believe that some Blacks think the world owes them something, but this is not all of them. The problem is Blacks have more negative influences from other Blacks.

When i saw in South Africa , My Gardner and maid worked very hard .... from 6am to 10pm for R30,00 a week each ( £3,00 )..!!

I never meet a couple so Happy in my life... We became very good friends over the years...

But iv also seen the other side , here in the UK .... I was working for Ford UK.... and most Blacks would "Play the Race card" to get the "Plumb"jobs.... and the unions would have too play along are there would be strikes and even fights in the factory..!


So i guise its how you look at different places ...but on the whole , in there own Country there Great , over here , they have a "Big Chip on ther shoulder "....nuff said.

Perhaps the two other white blokes didn't have to face the prejudice and cultural barriers that your black friends had to. Perhaps they led a charmed life and had their success handed to them on a plate, whilst the black guys got sick of hitting those barriers and just gave up.

I am white and the hardest working person I ever met is black. I worked in grocery stores for years and I never saw anyone move faster and harder than a black man that used to deliver to our store.
He was consistently fast, moving heavy merchandise and always with a good attitude. I got into the practice of calling him Mister out of respect.
