My best friend is thirteen and has never even looked at a guy. She doesn't like anything girly and wont talk about girl stuff. If we talk about guys around her, she gets all weird. Is she a LEBIAN? is this normal?

She's only thirteen. She's not a LEBIAN, I can tell you that much. She might be a lesbian, or maybe she isn't comfortable discussing guys yet. It takes different people longer to develop. And sometimes people have hang ups about sex that just makes it hard to talk about.

If she's really your friend don't worry about it. Either she's not a lesbian and she'll catch up, or she is, and she'll tell you when she's ready. If you're her friend you'll support her.

But if you're one of those people who would be just too mortified to be seen hanging out with a lesbian, you should just break it off with her now, you're not worth her time.

Those are some definite signs. Maybe she just doesn't want to think about guys 'that way' yet. Just because someone is not interested doesn't mean you should completely rule out the possibility of her being straight. At 13, you can't know what you are all about. Not all girls are boy crazy at that age, or ever. They might just like a guy once in a very long time while other girls constantly like new guys and think about guys all the time. Also, the fact that she is not girly does not necessarily mean she is a lesbian or a bisexual. She is probably just more of a tough girl and that is how she is. Regardless of the signals you are getting, the best way to know for sure would be to just come out and ask her yourself what the deal it.

She's only 13, jeez.... cut her some slack.
Women don't have to act feminine to be straight. Guys don't have to act masculine to be straight either. If boy-girl sex sounds good to you then guess what? You're straight.

But seriously... she's only 13. Give her a break and just try to be a good friend. Don't start nasty rumors about her being gay. I'll bet you anything she's probably just extremely shy around boys.

She may not know, or she does know and doesn't feel comfortable coming out, or she just doesn't like talking about guys. I don't really talk about guys either, or that much girl stuff, but I'm not lesbian. So you never know.

well for one why are on here asking a question like about your friend. maybe she is not feeling mature enough to speak boys and that is a good thing. when she is ready to notice guys then she will speak on it. she is seeing that she is changing into a woman. so let her be. maybe you should play attention to that and slow down. nobody is the same and mature faster then others. let her be. maybe you sound like you should have a talk with your mother about puberty.

I'm assuming that you are wondering if your friend is a lesbian(correct spelling).
Your friend is normal, she is probably real shy on the subject of guys.

A lebian? Hard to say.

But she might be a lesbian. Why don't you be a friend and ask her?

:)

she s not necessarily a lesbian. people mature at different times and in different ways. while you may be interested in guys now, she might not be interested in guys or dating until she is 15.
don't rush her. her time will come whether she is straight or gay. just love an accept her.
