Yes I would say that it is too early. It takes a while for the body even to get pregnant and start making the hormones. The hormones that a test detects come after the cells are attached to the uterine wall. Wait a few more weeks.

Hmmmm, kinda on the borderline. Pregnancy tests (the pee kind) measure the hcg hormones your body begins to produce when you are preggo. Some people have been know to take the test a few days after a missed period and still get a neg. result even though they really are preggo. There are however tests out there that can detect the hormone up to 4 days before you period is due.

I am guessing you are already feeling some of the symptoms. I knew a week after conception that I was preggo with my daughter, but had to wait to get the positive result of a test. I was quite in tune with my body then and when i all of a sudden felt sluggish and had some tender and swollen breasts I knew it was not a typical mentrual cycle.

Good luck with the test, and if you are really curious, you could always ask your OB to do a blood test for total accuracy.

It really depends on the woman. I took a test just one day before my missed period with an ept and it came out negative, again when I was three days late, negative. Finally when I was a week late and had gotten really nauseated after drinking only half a cup of coffee, I got a positive test result.
