Sounds like a scene from a book by CS Lewis called The Silver Chair. Giants caught these humans and were going to have them for "supper" when they accidentally found the cookbook. The cookbook had a recipe for humans.

I never saw the Twilight Zone episode, but I like the Simpson's take on the idea. They keep blowing dust off the book and the title changes from horrible to innocent and back each time they uncover a bit more. Homer gets put in an oven to bake and keeps eating himself. It's too funny.

It's originally a scene from the Twilight Zone. It was also spoofed in a Simpsons episode where the family is abducted by aliens and Lisa stumbles upon a book titled "How To Cook For Forty Humans."
