Why has everyone made such a big stink about Madonna's adoption?

Just curious. If she did some crazy thing in the past, then I wouldn't have even been born when it happened.

I don't know why people are so against it. I think she's done a very lovely thing. Just read these quotations taken from an interview with Yohane Banda - The father of Madonna's adopted son. :-)

"The journalists can exaggerate their stories as they like, but I knew exactly what I was doing."

"I made the right decision. I am glad he's been adopted and every day I am happy knowing my son will lead a better life."

When showed photographs of David in London with his new mother and siblings. All he did was gaze at his son. "Look," he beamed. "He's smiling. He is happy."

He added: "We have not taken a penny of money from Madonna and we don't want it. She has given money to an orphanage for other children. All I need to know is that my son is loved and looked after."

People are mad because usually people try to adopt. The adoption can take over 3 years to go through. Just because she has the money, does not mean that she can fly into africa, and take a little boy. She should have had to wait the same amount of time, however I am very glad that she helped save the world. Anyone who know hates her should realize that she is helping saving the world one baby at a time.

If you think of it this way she just bought a human. Remember, the time when it was legal for white people to buy and sell African American slave? That's illegal now! And it doesn't matter what race they are. It's just inhumane. Well, I know she's not gonna make the baby her personal slave but SHE JUST BOUGHT A HUMAN! Instead of giving the baby's father some money or helping out with the medical bills she payed him off and just took his child.

Wish I was rich enough to just go buy a child and not have to bother with any type of protocol.
Us mere mortals have tons of paper work, social worker visits, and annoying things like that. Or at least those are some of the things my husband and I had to do when we adopted our daughter.
When you are a goddess (or is that "demon of the pit"?) rules don't apply to you.

Some people think she did it just for the publicity,and not to help the child.Some people say she did it because all the attention went to Brad and Angelina Jolie,and she felt left out.The last one,I think some people think that she doesn't give a damn about the child.That's what I heard.

Madonna is annoying, that's the plain truth of the matter. She does outragous things just to get attention, she's arrogant beyond imagination, and she's just a stain in the fabric of our country. She is one of the few celebrities I truly have disdain for.

because the child has a father who put him there only temporarily after the mother died. And also because the rules everyone else has to follow were bent for her.

people think she's copying angelina jolie and they also think that she's losing attention so she adopted a child to get the attention back... i think that it's a good thing that she's helping the orphans and that she's actually doing something good in her life...
