Hi Ryan
Hopefully it isnt this.
Hyperthyroidism
Cause
Abnormal immune response is believed be a possible cause of hypothyroidism. The exact cause is not known, but certain antibodies from the immune system will launch an assault on the thyroid, disturbing hormone production. Lumps or tumors that form on the thyroid also disrupt hormone production. Temporary hyperthyroidism can be caused by infection or inflammation, and certain prescription drugs.
Hyperthyroidism is less common than Hypothyroidism, yet for both diseases, women appear to be more susceptible than men. Be aware that a malfunctioning thyroid may be the cause of recurring illnesses.
Symptoms
Symptoms of hyperthyroidism include rapid heartbeat, enlarged thyroid (goiter), moist skin, trembling or tremors, erratic pulse pressure levels (too high or too low), fatigue, anxiety, weight loss, bulging eyes, excessive sweating, increased appetite, low tolerance to heat, diarrhea, chest pain, and gastrointestinal disorders. In older people with hyperthyroidism, however, the opposite of the above symptoms can occur. Overall, hyperthyroidism is much rare than hypothyroidism (under active thyroid function).
Hyperthyroidism may be associated with and often is called Graves' disease, a condition characterized by an enlarged thyroid, bulging eyes bulge, rash and swelling in front of the lower leg.
Can be fixed though.
Best of health to you

Please, don't be a bulimiac! Your body is now in a stage of "shutting down." Therefore, you're not going to lose any weight, but the weight will come off from your bones, muscle, etc. I went through this for about a year or so. Developed heartburn, PCOS ovarian cysts (is linked to bulimia), no periods, many cavities, and i have trouble breathing all the time. all the symptoms are from bulimia. You WILL regret it! You may not now, which I didn't either, until the side effects started coming! Please listen to me! And don't just think I want a Best Answer! I am serious! I almost ruined my life and I'm trying to help out others before it's too late! I am now doing it the right way, eating healthy and exercsing! You should do the same! Good Luck! =]

Well first tell your parents about your concerns. And let them help you. You don't say what you are eating (keep a diary of all the foods and the amounts you eat and drink for a week). That will prove helpful for anyone, your parents, doctor, school nurse, who will help you with this issue. You also didn't say how old you are. Ask you parents what happened to them at this age. The weight loss is sure to raise a question with your parents and they will probably want to take you to the doctor. Information is power so go and get this investigated. Also evaluate the stress in your life, including how much sleep are you getting every night. Hope that this helps you. Blessings, H

You need to go to your Dr. and ask for a thyroid blood test. One of the symptoms of hyperthyroidism is eating and loosing weight and nerviousness, sleep deprivation, uncontrolled emotions and sweating and many more. It can be fixed with a pill most of the time. Been there. You think you're crazy but you aren't. No matter what you need the check up. good luck.

Have your doctor also test your insulin level, and also check for worms. The fact he is giving you Zoloft and telling you it is all stress is worrysome. Did he do full labs, including urine and stool sample to check for internal blood loss?
I would consider another doctor, if he did not.
If your insulin is low, you might have type I diabetes (insulin insufficiency). This would cause you to lose weight, but also would make you urinate a lot, and be thirsty all the time.
Do you have diabetes in the family?
