That guy has got to be the most shameless person. He brings a very bad name to Vietnamese people. He actually came on TV and asked in his broken-English what all the fuzz was all about, and that he had done nothing illegal and then accused Loretta Sanchez of "feeling" or fueling the fire.

First of all, He represents himself. Just because he is Vietnamese (?) doesn't make him a representative of Vietnamese. That's a racist statement on your part. If a caucasion had done the same thing, you would never have said that "that person gives a bad name to caucasions".

His letter incorrectly indicated that there was a government database that tracked illegal voters. His letter correctly indicated that it was a crime for illegal aliens to vote. And this was due to mistranslation from spanish to English, as admitted by the local spanish-language newspaper.

And every intelligent person from Orange County, California, is aware that illegal aliens voted in the original election in which Loretta Sanchez won her position from Bob Dornan. So right or wrong, Tan knows who he was running against. I personally know two that did.

The most discusting thing is that the official letter, written on California State letter head to those who recieved Tan's letter, was co-signed by the most separatist hispanic organizations in the state, including La RAZA, MALDEF, and NALEO, of which two activlely support illegal immigration, and at least one advocates the return of California to Mexico. If nothing else, this response letter clearly shows the absurd political correctness imposed by hispanic lobbies onto anyone who opposes illegal immigration or the problems they bring to California.

Actually, I grew up in Garden Grove. I'm not sure how he "disgraced" the Vietnamese. Do you mean by saying that illegals can't vote, by law? That happens to be the truth, so I guess he gave the Vietnamese a "very bad name" by implying they were law-abiding...
