The total area or the can is give by:
Area of curved surface = 2π r h
Area of top of can = π r²
Area of bottom of can = π r²
-----------------------------------------
Total area (A) of can = 2π r h + 2 π r²
A = 2π r h + 2 π r²
A - 2 π r² = 2π r h
(A - 2 π r²) / 2π r = h
h = (A / 2π r) - r

It's the best I can do for you based on the information given.

The aluminum sheets are square shape

The area formula for a square is

A = s²

Example

The sides length and width measure 5 inches each

A = 5²

A = 25

The answer is A = 25

The area is 25 inches
