Vladivostok is not in Europe. The continent of Europe ends at the Ural Mountains of Russia and Vlad is several thousand miles to the east of the Urals.

St. Petersburg is on the Gulf of Finland in european Russia. Bratislava is the capital of Slovakia and is in the European Union. Kiev is the capital of Ukraine, also a European country although not part of E.U.

Vladivostok. All Ucraine is in Europe and Kiev is in Ucraine. Same happens with Slovakia and its capital Bratislava. But Russia has an european side and an asian side. Saint Petersburg is on the European side. Vladivostok, therefore, is on Asia.
