I mean being gay is fine, no prob with me. But why do all actors say they are tired of paparazzi being in their personal business and then they are constantly inviting poeple in by coming out the closet. I am truely shocked by Doogie Howser coming out.. I use to ( and maybe still do) have a crush on him!! I am not trying to offend anyone and their sexuality at all. Please don't be offended I am really just wondering about all these celebrities. also, do you think their true sexuality may affect their career? Isnt hard to watch George on Grey's Anatomy, try to get with that girl, now that you know he is gay? Its hard for me.. its like man this is really fake!

I totally agree, you can't get into the show(s) if you know there sexuality. It tends to ruin it for ya, screw the fans, there job is to act. All they gotta do is act, I don't care what you do behind closed doors. That's personal business between " who" ever they are with. It ruins my 1 hour I get just to relax, damn! Why shouldn't actors come out? they're only being honest. What you see on screen is called acting and has absolutely nothing to do with their real life anyway. The very fact that you believed Doogie Howser was straight for so long only goes to show what a good actor Neil Patrick Harris is.
I'm sure Will and Grace star Eric McCormack also broke a lot of hearts in the gay community when he came out as being straight. Either way, whether they are gay, straight or bi, we probably don't stand much of a chance with them in the real world anyway. That's why fantasy is so good, we can do with them whatever we please.
Just keep on dreaming. lol ;-)

The reason why so many actors and high profile people are coming out right now is because their rights are being endangered. Laws are being passed all over the country to discriminate against gays, and that is why these people are coming out. They want the public to realize anyone could be gay, and it really isn't a big deal. We just want the same rights as everyone else...
Their sexuality should have no bearing on their acting. Numerous straight men have played gay men, like Eric McCormack. It's no different than that...

No, it shouldn't matter if the actor on Grey's Anatomy is gay- he's playing a character.
I think the actors get tired of the speculation and gossip. Just making a statement is a simple way of ending it.

Yeah I really don't like that people come out and tell the world they're gay, NOT because I have anything against gays, but because it's their own sexual preference. It's what turns them on, and what ever happened to "TOO MUCH INFORMATION"! If some guy told everyone that he gets off on having his butt hairs plucked it would be gross and inappropriate, so why do we have to hear about people being gay?

They are actors. They know how to do there job I guess. Since so many people have there eyes on them and in there business. I guess they want to put it out there first.

It just seems to be the cool thing to do right now. First it was celebrities having babies and naming them weird names, then it was celebrities adopting babies and naming them weird names, now it's celebrities with weird names coming out and telling us stuff we had already figured out for ourselves.
