it is fact that chinchilla dust isnt only for chinchillas, buy hamsters, gerbils, and of course - chinchillas ^_^

I would really ask someone from like petco or something I have chinchillas and they use dust cuz they live in the savanas and it cleans them but look on the background of where the gerbil comes from and if they come from a desert area then I would say its fine.

They love sand baths. Just becareful and watch for it irritating the eyes. They dont' need much to roll in, a teaspoon in a dish should be enough. My hamsters loved rolling in the dust.

Hi yes it is perfectly alright to use thedust with your gerbil...he will enjoy digging in it as they are sand dwellers & love to dig in sand..
Tanks filled with sand are enjoyed by gerbils & it gives them something to do playing in the sand doing what they would do in the wild...

there is other dust baths for gerbils and hamsters. you can find it at petsmart and petco. if the chin.. bath was for hamsters it would say for hamsters too. maybe there is something in there that will harm the hamsters.
