uh,dude,i'm sorry,you can't just pick up best friends.you can't just buy them.unless you have that much money and you're desperate.you need to hang around some more people.meet someone you like,say who's in your class or is your co worker.talk to them more.treat them nicely.you may have a new friend,but don't automatically run for a best friend.you can have just friends you know.

She doesn't sound like she was really a friend. I'll share the advice given to me, let people earn your kindness & respect. That way you'll be sure it's a true friendship.

You can't get one just because you want one.It's not like tooth brushes, it got old and disgusting and you just get a new one whenever you want... It takes time to develop friendship. I'm sure someone would have some what the same personality you have and would love to be your BFF. =] Just take your time.
