I realize Word 97 is rather obsolete, but maybe you can help. I do a lot of work with Word documents, and for some reason I have lost the template for the default page setting. In other words, my margins are all screwed up, and the documents do not have the page breaks. Is there any way I can restore the default settings?

Yes that is very old, now a days theres restore default settings button in options, but I am not sure about back then. You will either A) have to know the correct sizes for the default or B) Reinstall or repair the install of Word

Sorry I can't be so much help as I am running Office XP

This was a problem with Word 97, the best way to resolve it is to use the original Office disk, and when prompted, do a repair.
If the repair fails, you can do a full re-install from the original cd.
Make sure you back up all doc's etc before you do it, just in case the worst case happens, and you have to remove and reinstall the full office suite.
