That just depends. I can not remember where I read it, I think it may have been on babycenter.com, but I know most pregnancy tests guarantee 99% accurate results the day of a missed period. One doctor did a study that showed pregnancy tests are still only 97% accurate 7 days after a missed period. It all depends on your body and how quickly you built up the hcg in your system, which pregnancy test you are using, and when you ovulated.

Most brands of home pregnancy tests are between 25iu-100iu sensitive. The lower the number, the more sensitive it is.

I tested positive at 11 days past ovulation, which for me is two days before my period. I used a Dollar Tree test (yes it cost $1) and it was 25iu sensitive.

I know people who tested positive at 9 days past ovulation.

Check out www.peeonastick.com. More info than you ever wanted to know about HPTs.

If your late you can take a test and it should be pretty accurate. Don't work your self up to try to get pregnant cause it is that much harder to do just relax and just enjoy life. Just have faith that you are going to have a baby and you will.

You can take a test within a week of missing your period. Take the first urine of the day as it will read better.

2 Weeks, wow I don't know if I agree with that...there are tests now that say you can know only one day after. I took mine two days after missing my period, came up positive and sure enough I was :) Good Luck!!
