No, and that's not the way it works.

I do not wish ill to anyone and I sleep easily knowing that I don't.

Wishing people ill thoughts only pollutes your mind.
It's like peeing in the well where you get your drinking water from while waiting for someone else to be sick!

Karma is the Sanskrit word for action. It is used colloquially to mean the results (of a past action) happening in the present, but that is not correct. Karma is the action. So there was the action (in the past) and the result (in the present).

Whether we like people today or not, whether they seem nice or not has nothing to do with what they could have done thousands of years ago, or what the meaning or long-term effect of whatever is happening to them today will be in the future.

To really think about what karma means [ that we are responsible for our actions, that our actions create our life] (this thumbnail sketch is very little, please do some research if you want to understand it better) helps bring perspective to our lives & relationships with others.

Peace!

;-)

Sure it is great at first, but, Karma sometimes comes back on you too. If you are naughty Karma will get you sooner or later, and even wishing bad Karma on someone else can make bad Karma come to you. I know!!

If you wish bad on people than bad karma will come for you too. The idea is to want good for all people not just people you like.

It is interesting to see it when it happens but in telling someone karma will come to them does not mean that you want them harm. You just recognize that harm is coming their way because they are doing harm to others. No bad deed goes unnoticed forever or unpunished for long.

Karma exists whether you wish it or not. The saying what goes around comes around is definitely a true statement. I rather have good karma than bad karma though.

Ohh yeah ! Sometimes though you dont get to witness it first hand.
Can I tell you a good one that happened to me recently?

I was going to my local McDonald's.I turned into the parking lot from a side block and was headed around the front to get to the drive thru. I stopped at a stop sign in front and then made a left turn toward the drive thru lane... just as I was getting in line a lady in a big SUV raced to get in front of me ... just at the same time another car came from another angle and was trying to beat the lady in the SUV ...she did but then the lady in the SUV rear ended her ...Just a minor fender bender but I could'nt help pointing and laughing at the SUV lady as I drove around her fender bender... Really it was great.
