Usually an indicator that the belt needs to be replaced, or you have a pulley or belt driven component that is causing drag on the belt due to wear or failing bearings. If you spray a little water on the belt and the squeaking stops for a few seconds, you need a new belt.

IT's starting to wear down. And don't try the quick fix of that spray on belt crap to keep it from squeaking, it doesn't work for long. I had the same thing happen to me on my Chevy Silverado, and I finally gave in and spent the money to buy a belt and that fixed the problem. So, just spend the money on a good belt and it will be fixed.

maybe because its getting old or it needs adjusted or replaced on it,they all do it when they get old,if it has cracks in ,it needs to be replaced,and if not you can probably just adjust it,good luck,i hope this help,s.
