Yes Talisman was great and so was Black House. But look at the track record for King books turned to movies. Even Tv movies. Only one I found to be somewhat like the book was the tv version of the shining. Did you read Tommyknockers and Needful things? Look at how much they changed. The original shining? Talisman would sadly be the same.

Stephen King's books don't usually do well as movies. His books are great (he's my favorite author) and I have every one he has ever written, both as himself and under his pen name Richard Bachman. My favorite, by far, is The Stand. I have read that book 3 times. His books are usually complicated, complex, detailed and long. That's probably why they don't revert well to screenplays.

One of my favorite books, it got me started on my learning of magic, but yes i always thought that would make a great film, especially with the new technology . Lets call Ron Howard.

You are right,,,it was a terrific book and I couldn't put it down...they would probably mess it up like they did with the "Stand"...
