The thought that ignorant and corrupted people rule our government and the smart, kind, and genuine people have to be kept in place in the same way when the ignorant and dumb first started running for government.

Because somewhere along the line we, the common people who pay the corrupt's wages, decided to put them on a pedestal and say 'o.k.' to anything they did to us.
Government has become nothing more than a big business and
we're the welcome mat they wipe their feet on.

One thing that stands out to me is how quickly some people take every chance to put someone else down without knowing anything about that persons life or circumstances . It makes me cringe . They do it in order to build themselves up , and it does the exact opposite , it shows their butts !
Buy the way this is not directed at anyone in particular .

Considering that we Americans just plain do not take much interest in what is going on I would say the current situation is justified.
