I don't know about being scratch resistant, but I think you should buy it. I'm sure you'll be getting what you pay for. And, if I bought one, I wouldn't worry about scratches. Now that you mentioned Burberry watches, I want one. Don't listen to Sur La Mer. There's nothing wrong with a watch needing a battery, or a leather watchband. I like nice watches, and I would get that one if I were you, because you seem to like it. I like it. I like Burberry, and they make very nice quality items. And I'll also say to Sur La Mer, I have a stainless steel (metal) Ebel watch that doesn't have a scratch on it, and I've had it for five years, and have had the battery replaced once, and it wasn't a big deal. I think he's (or she's) talking about the crystal getting scratched, and I don't think he (she) needs to worry about that, as long as he (she) wears it in reasonable circumstances.

'Cause they want you to buy a new one. I've had my iPod for a year, and I have a case for it, and it has no scratches. :) You should be more careful with such expensive items.

considering how much it cost, it needs to be scratch resistant and water proof too.
